Nikon’s Four-to-the-Floor Tour
On Wednesday, Nikon presented their 2007 Four-to-the-Floor tour at Opium Garden and Vega, Manuvers and I were lucky enough to attend the event. They linked up with Spring LLC and kicked off a five city tour starting in September. They made stops at major cities Chicago, NYC, San Fran, LA and capped everything off is MIA. (Saving the best for last) The mission statement of the tour is to “shift the artistry and musicianship back to the forefront of dance music” and is used as a “platform to launch the next generation of DJs/Producers as the new stars of dance music.”
As we walked in, we were introduced to our new Nikon Coolpix S51c digital cameras with 8.1 megapixels and new wifi features. DJ K-Razor from the Scratch Academy was out there teaching people how to “DJ” and they recorded the sessions on a CD you could take home. (holla at Vega & Manuvers for their exclusive shit..haha) We also were treated to an open bar & free food (much appreciated!) Nikon had a showcase of their latest cameras and a rep to answer any and all questions.
We also had the chance to witness this dope ass jazz/r&b violinist, Karen Briggs. Seriously, she was killin it.
Check out some pics I took while there. Video will be up shortly!
