Monsters of Miami… (Short Documentary)

I saw a short piece this week covering an issue I was unaware of in Miami. Definitely controversial, and something to think about.
The piece is called “Monsters of Miami”, and can be viewed on Current.com here. It talks about the current situation in which convicted sex offenders are unable to live within 2,500 ft of where children are known to gather and play. It seems reasonable, until you realize that it makes it hard for the people to live practically anywhere. Many of them have ended up under a bridge that many of us cross as we head into Miami Beach to party.
The piece was actually based upon a story that came out of the Miami New Times. Isaiah Thompson first broke the story back in March of 2007, when these laws were passed forcing past sex offenders to live under the bridge.
