The rules called for a 20 minute mix. That is all.  The winner got a chance to open up for Hot Chip in Canada. This was my interpretation of what they might have wanted.

Did some quick mixing to try showing some of my range. It was a difficult task as most my mixes are an hour at least. However, I feel it flows pretty well for what it is.

This was a mix I put together by request from an employee at a bar I frequently play at. Basically dude said he liked the “freestyle” jams I played. So he asked me to make a “freestyle” mix.

I don’t think I was playing freestlye that night, but similar sounding stuff. So in this mix I made for him, I put together the songs he thought were freestyle, mixed with some actual freestyle classics.

First off is the brand new track “They Told Me” featuring a verse from Noreaga. ¡MAYDAY! actually first debuted this track months ago at Transit Lounge where they shot a video for it. Not sure what ever happened with that? But Nore got wind and wanted to jump on. Epicness ensues!

Then there is this video for their song “Nothing” featuring Devin The Dude. For those who been following ¡MAYDAY! for a while remember this song was on their first full length album, except now it features a verse from Wrekonize. The video features some shots of when they met up with Devin at SXSW.

Their first big hit was a verse they laid down to Sidney Samson’s “Riverside” track. This one being their own track, I’m not sure who produced it, but the Dutch style beat is pretty dope. The video fits well.

He transformed a tiny crawlspace into an abundant living space with moving walls and hidden compartments. So ill.

He started off the night playing a bunch of exclusives from his upcoming label Slow Roast Records. Tracks by Kill The Noise, Klever, Senor Stereo, and more. He played this one new track by Jack Beats which sampled a vocal by Common on “Sixth Sense”.. CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
